Class of 2026 Celebrated at Annual True Blue Toast

The University of Maine Foundation celebrated the philanthropy and generosity of the Class of 2026 during the annual True Blue Toast held on April 30 at Buchanan Alumni House. The event honored graduating students who participated in the Senior Class Giving Campaign, a long-standing UMaine tradition that encourages students to leave a lasting impact on the university community.

This year, 164 members of the Class of 2026 made a class gift in support of programs, scholarships, student organizations, academic departments, athletics, and other areas meaningful to their UMaine experience. Through their participation, students demonstrated their commitment to supporting future Black Bears and continuing the spirit of giving at the University of Maine.

During the celebration, students received their philanthropy cords and pins to wear at commencement, recognizing their contributions and participation in the Senior Class Giving Campaign. Friends, family members, faculty, and Foundation staff gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating class and recognize the importance of philanthropy within the UMaine community. Students also became members of the Loyal M Society, which recognizes consecutive years of giving and welcomes student donors into UMaine’s culture of philanthropy.

The University of Maine Foundation extends its gratitude to the Class of 2026 for their generosity, leadership, and dedication to strengthening opportunities for future generations of Black Bears.
