The new Engineering Education and Design Center, Student Project Suite, and its research and teaching facilities embody this vision of shared project areas that foster interaction among the disciplines, supported by state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure that encompasses all engineering and teamwork needs. The EEDC’s comprehensive new facilities range from advanced 3D printing and rapid prototyping, composites, metal and biomedical and electronics equipment, to high-tech meeting rooms for students, to informal student meeting spaces, and will provide an environment second-to-none that will profoundly transform how engineering is taught in Maine.”
