Matt Mullen serves as Director of Philanthropy, working primarily with the College of Earth, Life & Health. He previously spent seven years with the Foundation as a Philanthropy Officer and Associate Director, collaborating closely with the Dean and faculty of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Prior to his current role, Matt served as Director of Leadership Giving for the LifeFlight Foundation and Director of Parent Giving and Programs at Colby College, where he managed engagement with parents and athletics supporters. Earlier in his career, he held fundraising positions with the Natural Resources Council of Maine (NRCM) and Sidwell Friends School.
A seventh-generation Mainer, Matt studied History and Education at UMaine and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. He serves on the Executive Committee for the Kennebec Land Trust, as Secretary and Trustee for the Lithgow Library, and on the Board of the Maine Planned Giving Council. Matt and his family live in Augusta and enjoy spending time at their camp in Winthrop.
